Brave lads sponsored walk to Dunsfold via Spain!
Matthew McIntyre and his walking buddies, Nick Gee and Michael Freestone are currently undertaking the challenge of a life time and are on their walk to Bilbao, Spain.

The courageous young men left the new home of the Surrey Air Ambulance at Dunsfold Park on 23rd June 2007.

The young men were inspired by the serious high speed crash involving TV presenter Richard Hammond, to take up an amazing challenge while raising money for the Surrey Air Ambulance.

Their mission is to walk to Bilbao, Spain from, Surrey. This will be a 711 mile walk over three countries and they are aiming to reach their destination within 50 days.

Matthew explained, “The air ambulance service that helped out Richard Hammond was there in less then 5 minutes of the 999 phone call being made, without them who knows what could have happened to everyone’s favourite presenter. The speedy response of the air ambulance has inspired my fellow walkers and me to help out the Surrey Air Ambulance and can reach any part of the county within 10 minutes.”

If you would like to sponsor Matthew, Nick and Michael to help them achieve their mission then please visit www.justgiving/surreyairambulance and click on Matthew’s name or contact Julie Jenkinson on 07843 336720
